The NFFC - Chapter Information  We
are so glad that you are interested in our chapter. We are a club of
Disneyana enthusiasts who, like yourself, enjoy sharing the joys created
by Walt Disney and perpetuated by the Walt Disney Company. We hope you
will enjoy being one of us and take an active part in our activities. We
want you to take full advantage of what the club has to offer.
The Chapter at the Park is part of the National Fantasy Fan Club for Disneyana Enthusiasts and Collectors. The NFFC is a growing club with Chapters worldwide. To be a member of our Chapter, you must also belong to the National Club. If you are not a member, we invite you to join. Yearly dues for NFFC are us$29.00 and our Chapter dues are us$10.00. Our monthly meetings are held on the Fourth (4th) Saturday of the month with the exception of July (our national convention month) and December (Christmas). Meetings begin at 12:30 with our "Swap and Sell" starting at 11:30. See enclosed map for the meeting location. Our meetings are always a hoot. Each meeting is "themed" to reflect different aspects of Disney enthusiasm and we invite each member to bring an item in their collection that corresponds to the theme of the meeting for Show and Tell. Some of our themes have included "Disney Books & Records," "Disney Villains," and "Disney Restaurants." Show and Tell is just another excuse for us to show off our collections. We occasionally have guest speakers from the Disney Company or other experts who have knowledge that will help us better enjoy Disneyana. "Swap and Sell" is a time of chatting with friends and browsing over items other members may be offering for sale. This is a great time to get to know other members and even add that one missing item to your collection. If you are interested in offering items for sale, all we ask is that you join in our opportunity drawings by purchasing us$5.00 in opportunity tickets. Our monthly opportunity drawing is always a highlight of our meetings. Prizes range from new Disney items to rare collectibles. Opportunity tickets are available at each meeting for us$1.00 each or six (6) for us$5.00. We occasionally hold an auction. Any member can enter as many items as they wish for a fee of us$2.00 per auction lot. Those submitting an auction lot are allowed one bid during the auction in place of a minimum bid. It's fun and a way to clear out things that don't fit into your collection and even pick up some new additions. We have a monthly newsletter titled "The Orange County Passport." The newsletter is in addition to the NFFC Journal "The Fantasy Line." In the chapter newsletter there will be an announcement of the theme of the upcoming meetings along with a reminder of the date and time. The newsletter is also full of Disney items, from secrets that are happening in the Disney Company to what is new in Disney merchandise to activities taking place at Disneyland. Also contains other great things such as parties, special events and Disney Diners Club (where we meet for dinner at a different restaurant each month at either the Disneyland Hotel or Disneyland). These and other events will be announced in the upcoming newsletters. There is also a want ad section for those members who have something to sell or are looking for that hard to find item. It is all offered free to you as a member of The Chapter at the Park. We welcome you to The Chapter at the Park and hope to see you real soon by becoming an active member of our chapter.
